J-LEAP  (JAPANESE LANGUAGE EDUCATION ASSISTANT PROGRAM)

This program brings Native Japanese Language Assistant Teachers (ATs) to K-12 educational institutions in the U.S. for up to two years to strengthen Japanese language programs by providing an AT to team-teach with the Lead Teacher (LT) in their classes as well as create opportunities to nurture a new generation of qualified Japanese language teachers.

Washington DC Sakura Grant Program

The purpose of the Washington DC Sakura Grant Program is to support public, private, and charter/magnet schools that provide Japanese language and/or Japanese cultural education to students at the K-12 level in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Due to limited funding, this year’s program is not available for other areas.
